We have been working on improving the downloading and installation for the Outlook sync desktop program.  Most of the issues are related with the Internet explorer browser.

Here are the improvements:

• Dramatically reduce the Outlook sync desktop installation file size.  We did extensive testing to make the Outlook sync desktop program download file as small as possible.  The previous installation file was about 10.4m which bundles a few Microsoft system components.  In the new installation file, we reduced the size to 884k which is less than one tenth of the previous installation file.  This will make downloading much quicker and easier.
• Internet explorer browser installation file solution.  As we noticed, Internet Explorer had some problem downloading large files.  In the new version of the installation file, we improved the downloading process specifically for Internet Explorer.  It will dramatically reduce the failure rate and make sure the customer will get the complete installation file downloaded.
